Birthday Celebrations

Your child’s birthday is a special day! You are not required to, but if you would like to bring something to share with the class to celebrate your child’s special day, you can distribute a treat to the class at the end of the day. Please let me know if you are planning to bring something so that we can save a few minutes to pass it out before we go home. This year we have peanut and hazelnut allergies, so please be mindful when you are shopping for any edible treats for the class. Other non-edible treats that the kids may enjoy are:

  • A small toy
  • Pencils
  • Erasers
  • Handing out goodies/goody bags with non-edible items (pencils, stickers, figurines, coloring books, small toys, erasers, key chains, bubbles, mini play-doh, temporary tattoos, etc.)
  • Come into the classroom to read a story
  • Donate a book to the classroom with your child’s name inside
  • Fun school supplies
  • A birthday art project

Each student will receive a birthday certificate in front of the class. We will sing happy birthday to the birthday students in both English and Chinese. You are not required to, but if you would like to celebrate your child’s birthday in the classroom, please contact me to coordinate so that we have enough time at the end of the day for festivities.
