Welcome Back 2013-2014 Huskies!

Where did the summer go? I look forward to seeing you and your child tomorrow (August 22nd) for our first day of school. We will be on a minimum day schedule for both Thursday and Friday. We have a new bell schedule as follows:

Regular Schedule

• 8:15 – School Begins
• 10:20-10:30 – Snack Recess
• 11:20-12:00 – Lunch
• 1:40-1:50 – Recess
• 2:45 – Dismissal 

Minimum Day

• 8:15 – School Begins
• 10:20-10:30 – Recess
• 11:00-11:30  – Lunch
• 1:15 – Dismissal 

I have morning yard duty this year, so please be mindful of dropping off school supplies! I will have a pink bin outside of my door for you to leave your items. Remember, the more interruptions we have in class, the less instructional time for your child. 

Every morning, your child will drop off their backpacks neatly along the wall outside the classroom, place their lunch boxes in the lunch cart, and WALK to the playground. When the bell rings, they will freeze, then after the whistle, they will line up and wait for me to pick them up. After we get our backpacks, your child is expected to walk into the classroom quietly, put their things away, and start on their morning work. Please reinforce this routine with your child by letting them know what the expectations are.
