Weekly Newsletter for 11/15/13

Dear Room 4 Families,

Our students had a busy and eventful week! We had our community heroes Dr. Lee, Sherrif Jones, and the Hayward Fire Department come in to talk about their jobs and answer questions. The East Bay Vivarium blew us away with awesome arachnids, turtles, lizards, and snakes. Your child had the chance to see and touch many live animals up close.

Stone Soup has been moved to Thursday. Your child has a handout in his/her backpack detailing what they volunteered to bring to the class. If you are unable to bring in that item, or would like to change to something else (we could use a store bought, nut-free, dessert), please contact me. The letter sent home with the supply list is posted here: https://graceyou.com/stone-soup-thursday-112113/

Please bring non-perishable items to school on Tuesday (broth, canned goods, crackers, utensils, etc.) and fresh vegetables/meat Wednesday morning. If the soup contains something that your child is allergic to or cannot eat, you may send them to school on Thursday with an alternative soup that they can eat with the class.
