Weekly Newsletter for 1/24/14

Dear Room 4 Families,

Thank you for your generous donations this week towards our 100th day of school and Valentine’s day party. Our class has brought in over 40 canned food/boxed items for the food drive. We are currently number one and in the running to win a party!

Next week’s Mandarin homework includes a portion that needs to be submitted online. This requires the use of a computer and is NOT iPad compatible. You will need to have the latest version of Adobe Flash installed and a microphone. If you are having difficulty getting this set up, I am happy to help you. Your child can also complete the assignment after school from my classroom computer if arranged ahead of time. The Lingt (online homework) page can be found here: http://lingtlanguage.com/takeassignment/1748239061164528/

Our class enjoyed learning how to blend complementary watercolors to create a background for an art project that we will finish next week. We have been learning new songs in preparation for the Mandarin showcase and practicing old ones that we have already learned.

The spelling bee words can be found here.
