Weekly Newsletter for 1/17/13

Dear Room 4 Families,

We had another busy week of activities in school this week. Our class enjoyed their visit from Mad Science today and explored decomposers through discussion and hands-on activities. Your child had the option to bring home their own worm, so keep a look out for their wiggly friend! We presented our dinosaur projects to the class, did Mandarin activities with our kindergarten buddies in Rm. 16, and practiced reading our Mandarin passages to record Vokis.

The spelling bee word list is located here along with the details: https://graceyou.com/spelling-bee-list-2014/

Upon popular request from the class, Week 19 homework packets were handed out in class today for students to work on over the 3-day weekend.

There is no school on Monday, January 20th, and our vision and hearing screening day is on Tuesday, January 21st.

The canned food drive starts next week. If you would like to participate, you may send non-perishable canned foods and dry boxed foods to be donated in Room 4. The top 3 classes with the most donations will win a class party! (pizza, ice cream, or popcorn)
