Dear Room 4 Families,

This week we had our last homework packet, spelling test, and dictation test for 2nd grade! If you have any homework packets that have not been turned in, please bring them to me next week for credit.

A good Mandarin resource for the summer is Groovy Pauli. He sings kid friendly songs with English translations for Mandarin phrases and vocabulary. If you look at his YouTube channel, there Mandarin words and translations for the vocabulary used in his songs. You can view his YouTube channel at:

There are also CDs to purchase on Amazon or download via Spotify to listen in the car, etc. I also suggest MindSnacks Chinese for the iPad/iPhone and Fun Chinese as apps that are good quality and worth the money spent. The students like playing the games and they review and teach vocabulary that your child needs to know for 3rd grade.
