Weekly Newsletter for 11/14/14

Dear Room 4 Families,

Thank you for such a warm welcome back to the classroom this week. I appreciate how welcoming you have been to our sub Ms. G and buying flowers for the both of us!

This week we have been working on our opinion writing for our Fall writing task, wrapping up our unit on place value, and starting our unit on comparing and contrasting stories in English Language Arts. Today was the last day of the first trimester, your child is officially 1/3rd of the way through second grade!

Parent-Teacher conferences will be held on December 2nd-5th. December 1st-4th are minimum days, and there is NO SCHOOL on December 5th. Report cards will be handed out and discussed with you at this time. Mad Science will be visiting our class next Thursday, November 20th to conduct a workshop on Magnificent Magnets.
