Weekly Newsletter for 1/9/15

Dear Room 4 Families,

Welcome back to school! Your child has had an eventful week getting back into the swing of our school routines. We have started 2 more literacy centers in our Daily 5 learning centers. Your child has been very excited to play on Raz-Kids on our classroom iPads. You can download the app for free or go to their webpage: http://www.raz-kids.com/main/Login

Your child’s account has been paid for through the end of the school year and I encourage you to help your child access their reading assignments at home as one of their options for their daily reading. On the reading log, you can write “Raz Kids” where the book title goes. You will need to monitor your child to make sure that they are reading the books in their assignment section and not playing with the app or spending too much time decorating their robots with the stars that they have earned from reading.

To log in, type in my username, which is “graceyou” with no spaces. Your child should know how to access their library from here and what their password is.

I am working with our room parent and with Room 7 on coordinating upcoming field trips. If you would like to chaperon please make sure that you have completed the necessary paperwork so that I can add your name onto the volunteer form that I submit to district office.
