Field Trip Information for Lawrence Hall of Science

Dear Parents,

Mr. Chen’s and Ms. You’s classes will be participating in a field trip to Lawrence Hall of Science on Tuesday, March 17th. Students will take the district bus and chaperoned by parent volunteers. All field trip chaperones have completed the required paperwork at this time.

Students are encouraged to wear the Stonebrae Huskywear or Stonebrae school colors (blue, black, and white) during the field trip. This will help us identify them easily. It is not mandatory to wear any of these things, but would help keep everyone safe.

If your child does not have a signed permission slip by Friday, March 13th, they will not be able to attend the field trip. Students who do not have these things, or who are LATE to school and miss our departure will spend the day with Mrs. Fujii in Room 8.

The following is the tentative schedule for our field trip:

• 8:15 – 8:35 Bathroom break; break into groups and discuss rules/safety
• 8:35 – 9:25 Depart
• 9:30 – 10:00 Arrive at Lawrence Hall of Science – Check in and group photo
• 10:00 – 11:00 Session for Room 4 (Room 7 explores exhibits)
• 11:10 – 12:10 Session for Room 7 (Room 4 explores exhibits)
• 12:10 – 12:15 Meet for lunch
• 12:15 – 12:55 Lunch
• 1:00 – 1:50 3-D Film
• 1:55 – 2:40 Return to Stonebrae
• 2:45 Dismissal

We will be eating lunch at Lawrence Hall of Science. If you are bringing a lunch from home, please place it into a disposable bag labeled with your child’s name and school.

If you need a lunch to be provided, please let me know by Tuesday, March 10th so that the cafeteria has adequate time to make accommodations.

Please make sure to completely fill out and sign the field trip permission slip. Permission slips are due by Friday, March 13th. If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to contact us.
