Stonebrae Room 4 – Weekly Newsletter

Dear Room 4 Families,

Today was the last day of the 2nd trimester to second grade. We are so close to being third graders! Your child has been busy this week learning how to compare and contrast, look for important information in the text, starting our personal narrative writing unit, and working with numbers to the thousands place. You can help your child by asking them what they have learned in school and having them explain how to do it, or by asking them what they are confused about and explaining to them.

The Chinese New Year Parade will be held in San Francisco this Saturday and our school will be performing in the parade! Keep an eye out for us if you are there or watching on TV.

Your child has been tasked with the responsibility to keep track of their permission slip for our field trip to Lawrence Hall of Science. The permission slip needs to be returned to school by no later than Friday, March 13th.

Thank you to the families that have been generously bringing in tissue boxes for our class. Many students have been sick lately and we have been going through a box a day.

Here are next week’s homework links:

Have a great weekend!

-Ms. You
