Weekly Newsletter for 10/2/15

Dear Room 4 Families,

This week your child has continued writing stories about themselves in their personal narrative writing unit. We have studied the phonics for our spelling words this week as well as examined the story structure of several different stories. In math, we have been learning about fact families, doubles, doubles plus one, and subtraction. I’m encouraging your child to use various ways to solve math problems to deepen their understanding of the various concepts and to help develop their number sense.

Next Friday will be our spelling test for Week 2 and Week 3 spelling words.

As a reminder, our Back-To-School night will be this upcoming Tuesday from 5:00-5:30 in Room 4. This is an informational session for parents. If you are unable to find childcare for your children, please make sure that they are quiet and not interrupting the presentation as we will only have one session.
