Weekly Newsletter for 4/20/20

Dear Room 4 Families,

It was so nice to see everyone who was able to make it to the Zoom meeting on Friday! Here are a few notes regarding this week’s distance learning plan.

• If you forgot your child’s Level Chinese login information, their login/password is their student ID# which is the same as their IXL login/lunch number. Enter “Stonebrae” to search for Stonebrae School. You can access the website here: https://app.levelchinese.com/login
• The Pop Bottle Biography Project has been assigned this week. It will be due next Friday, May 1st. Please do what you can and feel free to modify the project to work for your child. The three parts that are important are finding a source to research your famous person, using a book to help write your biography, and the art portion. If your family does not have the materials at home to create a bottle representation, your child can make a poster, draw and color a portrait, or create a flat doll that represents who they picked.
  1. Please send me the name of the person your child will research for their project by this Friday.
  2. Students will present their project to the class on Zoom on May 1st. Have your child prepare by showing their art, stating the name of the person they chose, why they are important, and 3 facts about them.
• Remember to turn in ANY work by 12:00pm on Friday to be included in this week’s attendance. If your child was not able to finish everything, please send partial work for credit.
