Mandarin Showcase Friday, June 5, 2015

Dear Mandarin Parents,

The annual Mandarin Showcase is coming! The teachers and students are preparing the program and will perform on Friday, June 5, 2015 at 6:00pm in the Multipurpose Room.

Each year, our parent volunteers help host a special fundraising for the Mandarin program and school during our showcase evening. Last year, the fundraiser helped our students to participate in the 2015 San Francisco Chinese New Year Parade last March and will continue to be used to purchase materials for the program. Thank you for your contributions!

Beginning this year, we would like to add one more project which is fundraising for school laptops. Our target is to have a classroom set of 33 laptops available for the Mandarin Language Lab and the Stonebrae students. This project may take many years to complete.

Currently, we have district Chromebooks. However, during the tests and assessment months from February to May, the Chromebooks are not available for the Mandarin Language Lab due to their use by the entire school. So, we would like to purchase laptops to be used by all the students in our Mandarin Language lab.

We plan on fundraising by selling snacks during both the Spring Music Concert (May 27th) and the Mandarin Showcase.

How can you help? We need volunteers to help sell snacks during both events. If you are able to help with this project, please contact our parent volunteers Rosa Alim and Yvonne Lee.
