Weekly Newsletter for 4/22/16

Dear Room 4 Families,

We have been busy, busy, busy this week! This week we have been working on digging deeper into a text in reader’s workshop by learning how to do close reads and annotating through our text. We are working on comparing and contrasting important facts and differences in the school days from classrooms around the world. We have also been learning about Earth Day and how we can help reduce our carbon footprint and have an impact on the world.

In math we are learning regrouping in both addition and subtraction. Some students are struggling  with the concept and need more practice. Please check your child’s backpack for any math papers that are sent home and help them complete them at home. They can return them to me at school for some extra ClassDojo points.
