Weekly Newsletter for 4/28/17

Dear Room 4 Families,

It was great seeing everyone at Open House this week! If you have any pictures from our Mandarin Showcase or from Open House to share, please send them to me on ClassDojo.

This week in English Language Arts, we have been working on close reading and using our understandings of story structure, character traits, and summarizing to support our reading comprehension. In writing, we wrapped up our personal narrative unit and will be starting our last writing unit next week, which is “All About With Research.” This will be tied in to our field trip to CuriOdyssey in May.

In math, we finished two-digit subtraction and learned how to add up to 4 2-digit numbers. We will be starting a unit on measurement, data, and analysis.  Please check your child’s backpack for unfinished math work that I have sent home to finish.
